Manchester City started favourites to retain Premier League but Newcastle United, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are likely to pose tough competition to Pep Guardiola's side. Now former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper and US soccer star Brad Friedel has offered his insights on the potential top-four finishers in the upcoming Premier League season. Friedel has asserted that while Manchester City, the reigning Premier League champions, are likely to secure the second position, Arsenal will secure the fourth spot.

In his analysis, Friedel has predicted that Liverpool will clinch the title this season, while Chelsea is poised to secure the third place.

When questioned about his perspective on the Premier League title race for the ongoing season, Friedel told Ladbrokes although Manchester City is considered the favorite, his inclination leans towards Liverpool. Friedel was of the opinion that they would strengthen their position and present a formidable challenge. The task of smoothly transitioning from a treble-winning season to competing on all fronts without succumbing to mental fatigue is undoubtedly challenging.

Teams such as Manchester United and Newcastle are in the running, but Friedel predicted Arsenal to secure the fourth position, narrowly surpassing Manchester United.

Friedel played 84 soccer games for the US, and took part in three FIFA World Cup tournaments.
