Man uses ‘live’ grenades to decorate home in UK. This is what happened
A man used live grenades to decorate his home in Cornwall. The bomb squad was called in to remove three suspected hand-grenades safely.

People generally use photo frames, vases, fancy crockery, lamps, wall hangings, sculptures, etc to decorate their homes.
The incident came to light when the Devon and Cornwall Police were on a routine visit to the house. The officials found that the man had decorated the house with live grenades, which were removed by a bomb squad.
The police and emergency services were called to the house, which is located in Summercourt, Cornwall, on Tuesday afternoon. Not just this, the police officials had to close major roads and a bus garage.
The man seems to have told the officers that he purchased the hand grenades for "decorative" purposes. He was unaware that they were live, as per the outlet. It seems that the man may not be facing any further action, the police stated.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Metro that the officers found three suspected hand-grenades inside a property in Summercourt, Cornwall during a routine call at about 11.20 am on Tuesday, January 31.
The Royal Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was called in for checking the grenades. The road was closed and a 50-metre cordon was put in place. A nearby property was also evacuated. The suspected hand-grenades were removed by the team for safe disposal and the road was also reopened at 2.30 pm, the spokesperson said.
