Man denied US entry after border agents discover bald JD Vance meme on his phone, sparks outrage

JD Vance meme has once again gone viral on social media as Norwegian tourist named Mads Mikkelsen claimed that he was harassed at Newark Airport and barred from entering the US.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement's stringent procedures under President Donald Trump have once again come under scanner as a young traveler from Norway claimed that ICE personnel harassed him and eventually he was denied entry to the USA. The reason that the 21-year-old cited was that he kept a bald meme photo of US Vice President JD Vance, as per reports. The tourist named Mads Mikkelsen claimed that he was harassed at Newark Airport in New Jersey on June 11. He was visiting the US to see friends in New York and Austin, Texas, as per a report on Nordlys.

He said that officers interrogated him at a separate room full of guards. He also had to show them backpack, mobile phone and shoes, as per the report on Nordlys.

When the authority checked the phone, they came across the JD Vance meme photo with a bald, as per the report on Nordlys.

Earlier this year, A 4-year-old and a 7-year-old with U.S. citizenship were deported alongside their mother to Honduras last week, the family's lawyer said, adding to the recent string of American citizens caught in the crosshairs of the Trump administration's immigration crackdown.

The moves come as the Trump administration has ramped up its immigration enforcement and mass deportation efforts. Immigration advocates and the American Civil Liberties Union have condemned the administration's actions, raising concerns of due process.
