As a candy lover, you may have already tasted M&M's, the multi-coloured treats that are available in a wide range of flavours and are incredibly irresistible. However, you might be wondering why we're suddenly talking about candy.

Recently, a man on Twitter made a bold claim that he had discovered the largest M&M in the world, which quickly garnered attention on social media. The post even caught the attention of Guinness World Records (GWR).

Fintan Walsh shared the post on Twitter. The picture he tweeted featured his hand with a normal-sized, green-coloured M&M as well as a huge blue candy as well.


"Hi @GWR. I have the biggest M&M in the world. What’s the next step for us?" he wrote in the caption of the post,” the man captioned his post on Twitter.


Guinness World Records were quick to respond and replied, “That’s not an M&M that’s a boulder.”

In terms of the largest candy ever recorded, the honour belongs to Nidar, a Norwegian candy manufacturer with a history of over a hundred years. On August 12, 1997, the company created a gargantuan butterscotch that was showcased at their factory in Trondheim, Norway, ultimately earning them the Guinness World Record.

The official measurements, as documented by Guinness, were 5 feet in length, 5 feet in width, and 17 inches in height.
