Man arrested for involvement in e-commerce scams worth $8,050 in Singapore
The Commercial Affairs Department conducted thorough investigations and identified Tan as the perpetrator. They arrested him on August 10. Investigations show that Tan was involved in 30 counts of scams in e-commerce which involve about S$8,500.

According to reports, he duped a victim by making them believe he had genuine Marquee tickets. The victim then paid S$1,020 in advance on July 29 to Tan. The police got information about the scam on July 31.

He advertised the tickets on a Telegram group and named it "SG Clubbing." It is a group where people who go to clubs buy and sell nightclub tickets. It is reported that victims were deceived, and payments were taken in advance to get into the nightclub.
Tan faces jail time up to 10 years for each count of cheating, including a fine. While the investigation is still going on, Tan’s case is adjourned until September 8.
Other victims came forth
According to reports, some users in the group suspected wrongdoing in dealing with a man named "Adam." A user reportedly reached out to Marquee's manager once to get identification of this seller. The manager told the man that it was a scam and the tickets were sold online only for August 6. He was also told that the tickets were in limited quantity.
