Mama June daughter died after battling cancer at the age of 29

On Saturday night, Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell, Mama June's daughter, passed away from cancer. Before she tragically went unexpectedly, the 29-year-old was undergoing treatment for stage 4 adrenal cancer. The heartbreaking news was shared on Instagram by Mama June, who stood by Anna during her cancer treatment. The post featured a happy family portrait with Anna in it.

Mama June’s Instagram post stated that her daughter is no longer in the world and she died very peacefully after batling and fighting cancer for past 10 months.

Anna had two daughters one was 10 and the other was 7 years old.


On March 30, it came to light that Anna was fighting cancer, even though her diagnosis wasn't made until January. In February, Anna began chemotherapy. In May, she had her third chemotherapy cycle. During the treatments, Anna's mother and sisters, Alana and Lauren, accompanied her to the hospital.

Mama June provided updates on Anna's condition throughout her cancer fight. Mama June stated that Anna's cancer had "moved very rapidly and grew very rapidly" in several areas of her body and was "rare" and "very aggressive" in an interview on May 4.

Mama June posted a video on December 8, requesting additional prayers from her fans, and said she wouldn't be posting again until some good news comes. She added that the main goal for her and her family was to spend as much time as possible with Anna.
