A picture of Cardwell was included in the program with the poem "Broken Chain."

The poem was to understand that That morning, we had no idea that God would call your name. We cherished you in life, and we continue to do so in death. Even though we were devastated to lose you, you weren't alone when God called you home. A piece of us went with you.
