The 26-year-old went down awkwardly during Saturday’s game against Latvia when a teammate was pushed into his lower legs, leaving him in visible pain.
Doncic limped off to the locker room but later reappeared on the bench, easing concerns of a major setback. Slovenia will face Great Britain in another exhibition game on Tuesday as they ramp up preparations for EuroBasket.
Acquired by the Lakers in a blockbuster February trade with Dallas, Doncic quickly became the team’s centerpiece, averaging 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.5 assists in 28 games.
Earlier this month, Doncic committed long-term by signing a three-year, $165 million extension.
Across his NBA career with the Mavericks and Lakers, Doncic has averaged 28.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 8.2 assists over 450 games, cementing his status as one of the league’s elite stars.
