Love Island winner Jack Fincham was sentenced for six weeks after his cane corso dog attacked a man while he was running.

Jack Fincham pleaded guilty in Southend Magistrates' Court to two counts of being in charge of an out-of-control dog that was dangerously under his care; the latter resulted in injuries. He was sentenced to jail and told to pay a total of £3,680, which included a £2,000 donation to kennel fees, a £961 fine, and £200 in compensation, stated the Sky News.

He gave a thumbs up as he was escorted to the cells after the sentence was announced. A woman in the public gallery cried as he walked away.

The court heard that his dog Elvis bit a runner in Swanley, Kent, in September 2022.

As per the Daily Star, according to prosecutor Erin Peck, Fincham will be cautioned and need to complete a responsible dog ownership course after accepting an apology. Conditions were established, including the requirement that his dog be muzzled, she noted.

However, in June of last year, there was a second incident in Grays, Essex, in which the dog became out of control. He was eventually charged.

At the time of the incident in Swanley, Fincham was under a suspended sentence order, according to presiding magistrate Anne Wade. This was for 12 weeks of jail, suspended for 18 months, for an unrelated driving offense.

Ms. Wade stated that this order would be partially activated and the six-week term would be imposed. Fincham's lawyer, Richard Cooper, said the defendant had "no savings" to pay the £3,680. Ms. Wade said he could pay in instalments, starting at £400 per month.
