The couple, who finished in third place on Love Island USA Season 6, confirmed the breakup in separate Instagram Stories on Tuesday, July 29. What began as a pair of respectful statements quickly turned contentious after Craig accused Rodriguez of manipulation and dishonesty.
Craig, 28, began her statement by thanking fans for their support before revealing the depth of her pain:
“As you know, Kenny and I are no longer together,” she wrote. “Please know that I have seen all the breakup theories, and none have matched up to how terrible, disgusting, and disappointing it truly is.”
She added: “Discovering that someone you loved isn’t who you thought they were and that the relationship you thought you were building hasn’t been genuine since day one has been truly devastating.” Craig ended her message with a note of strength: “Please know as a child of God, I will always be okay.”
Rodriguez, 25, followed with a more measured response as he said, “Breakups are never easy, especially in the public eye,” he wrote. “Sometimes, despite how deeply you care for someone, you come to the hard truth that the relationship was not something that could last long-term.” He added, “I release this chapter with no ill will, only a hope that JaNa’s path forward brings her nothing but happiness.”
“stfu you manipulative liar,” she wrote. “You are not taking accountability and telling people the type of person you really are is insane to me!! My first statement was me being nice. Do not piss me off.”
The pair had been dating for nearly a year and were fan favorites throughout Season 6 of the reality dating series. They were most recently featured on Love Island: Beyond the Villa, a spin-off documenting the post-show lives of popular contestants.
Despite public appearances, including walking the red carpet together at the 2025 American Music Awards in May, sources close to the couple say the relationship had been strained. One source confirmed to People that Craig ended the relationship on July 27, following rumors of tension at a high-profile party. The source also stated, “They will not be getting back together.”
Both stars continue to appear on Love Island: Beyond the Villa, though it's unclear how their breakup will affect filming.
