Following the dangerous wildfires which took place in Los Angeles, another massive and extreme danger is looming over Los Angeles again as the Santa Ana winds again return to its strength.

Los Angeles still continues to grapple with the devastating wildfires as the Santa Ana winds return while posing renewed risks to the region, reported New York Post.

According to New York Post, the Palisades Fire which has burned near about 23,713 acres is now reportedly 63% contained while the Eaton Fire is 89% contained. However, during such ongoing dangerous times, new fires have emerged south of the city which includes the Lilac Fire near San Diego and has already scorched 80 acres.

Los Angeles still remains under a red flag warning while wind gusts are reaching a speed of 80-100 mph and are potentially reigniting contained fires and spreading burning embers. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has issued orders to expedite the debris clearing and reinforce the vulnerable landscapes in preparation for anticipated weekend rainfall, asserted New York Post.

Recent reports revealed that numerous significant challenges still remain while including air quality concerns from ash and dust with officials advising residents near burn sites to wear protective gear. The impending rain which is being expected from Saturday through Monday now brings additional risks of landslides and hazardous debris flow in the fire damaged areas, noted New York Post.

The Los Angeles wildfires which have already claimed at least 28 lives and destroyed thousands of structures still eventually continue to test the resilience of the region. Latest developments asserted that the firefighters are making progress in containment but the extremely volatile weather conditions and landscape damage pose ongoing threats to Los Angeles and surrounding communities at large.
