Los Angeles fire today: Interstate 5 closed, 10,000 acres burnt to ashes in Hughes fire
Interstate 5 has been closed down temporarily because of the Hughes Fire. Authorities hurried to the site in Los Angeles and tried to control the fire.

Pertaining to the dangerous fire weather, a red flag warning was issued in the area on Thursday. According to the National Weather Service office, in Los Angeles, the speed of the wind was around 65 miles per hour, which could be the reason for new fires or the rapid growth of existing ones.
Called the ‘Hughes Fire’, a much bigger fire, ignited on Wednesday and burned down Los Angeles and Ventura countries. Evacuation orders for around 50,000 people were released immediately. The state fire agency, Cal Fire, managed to control around 14% of the fire on Thursday morning, as per a statement released by them.

The fire is ablaze near the Castaic Lake, around 40 miles away from Los Angeles. Many locals call it the home of the Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park. This is happening north of Palisades fire which has burnt down 23,000 acres of land right from when it started around two weeks ago.
Residents in the Castaic division watched the Hughes fire spreading in the hills and then the highway. The fire started appearing above Pitchess Detention Centre, a jail, which was placed in the mandatory evacuation zone. The jail authorities were ready and committed to saving the jail inmates.

The Hughes fire was almost the size of the Eaton fire, spanning across an area of 14,000 acres. The day of the fire clashed with the day of the Palisades fire and burnt around 9000 structures. According to the forecast, warm and dry weather was expected on Thursday with the Santa Ana Desert Winds at their peak at around 9 in the morning. Cool showers are expected on Monday, which might ease the fire.
