Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth, a special set of Magic: The Gathering cards, is arriving in Middle-earth as part of the "Universes Beyond" series. The collaboration between the two franchises was first announced in 2021, and now, IGN has provided a sneak peek at some of the cards in the set.
One of the most notable cards in the Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth set is The One Ring, which appears as a powerful legendary artifact card. Additionally, the set features two cards depicting the beloved wizard Gandalf as Gandalf the Grey, each with the same stats and special abilities but featuring different artwork.
In one card, Gandalf is seated and holding his staff as well as Glamdring, his sword, while in the other, he is depicted battling the Balrog. The set also includes five different land cards, each highlighting a key area of Middle-earth's map.
