Lopez photographed shopping with Ben Affleck’s son, Samuel after divorce

Jennifer Lopez was photographed Saturday in Beverly Hills, spending the afternoon with her daughter Emme, 17, and former stepson Samuel, 13, Affleck, the youngest child of her ex-husband Ben Affleck. According to images published by Page Six and TMZ, the trio visited luxury stores including Balenciaga and Christian Dior before sitting down for lunch. Lopez, 56, wore a cropped top and cargo pants, while Samuel, 13, dressed in a light blue button-down shirt and shorts.

This marks the first time Lopez has been publicly photographed with Samuel since August 2024, when they were seen shopping together in Los Angeles. Earlier that year, they also attended a Lakers game. Divorce finalized earlier this year.

Divorce between Lopez and Affleck

Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in 2024, exactly two years after their wedding at his estate in Georgia. People reported that the former couple had reached a settlement, and a Los Angeles judge later declared them legally single.

The pair’s rekindled romance had captured global attention in 2021, nearly two decades after they first dated. They married in Las Vegas in July 2022.

Co-parenting dynamics

Affleck, 53, shares three children, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Lopez is the mother of 17-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

In recent months, Affleck and Garner have been photographed together at family outings with their children. Page Six published photos of the former couple smiling while leaving a Los Angeles theater with Samuel and Seraphina. They were later joined by Affleck’s mother.

Page Six previously reported that she was uncomfortable with the frequency of media coverage of Affleck and Garner’s family appearances. Neither Lopez, Affleck, nor Garner has made an on-the-record statement about those reports. The Beverly Hills outing highlights the continued bonds within the blended Affleck-Lopez family, even after the end of the high-profile marriage.
