Netflix has announced the release date for its upcoming romantic drama, "Lonely Planet." The film, starring Liam Hemsworth and Laura Dern, will premiere globally on October 11, 2024.

Plot

"Lonely Planet" tells the story of a reclusive novelist attending a writer’s retreat in Morocco. The film follows her journey as she tries to overcome writer’s block. During her stay, she meets a young man, and their relationship develops from acquaintanceship into a profound and life-altering love affair.

Production Team

The film is directed and written by Susannah Grant. She also serves as a producer for the film alongside Sarah Timberman and Liza Chasin under 3dot Productions. Kira Goldberg, the VP of Studio Film at Netflix, is the creative lead for the project.

Filming
