A new London initiative may soon come as a shock to people who urinate in public on walls. To increase fines for infractions, the Westminster City Council is painting the streets of Soho with a "splash back" substance. In response to complaints from locals about an increase in instances of public urinating, the council spent nearly £1 million on cleaning costs.

The paint, which will be a fixture in five locations of London, including Westminster and Central London, is made to splatter back liquid. Additionally, the effort will include posters with statements opposing public urinating and QR codes for local restrooms.

Patrick Lilley, a councilman for Westminster, believes it is a complete disgrace and unfortunate that long-suffering locals must put up with travelers using Soho as their restroom. He said that he is sure everyone would feel the same way if someone used the restroom at their front door.

The Soho Society also revealed its plans to spend £20,000 from Thursday to Sunday on restroom improvements in Soho. They said the community protection notifications and anti-pee paint should teach those offenders a lesson.

In Soho, hundreds of inebriated individuals congregate at bars, according to Tim Lord, head of the Soho Society. He added that it is incredible that there aren't more public restrooms. He added that on Houston Street, people frequently urinate on residents' doors, and he remarked that it is terrible.

Deputy leader of the council, Aicha Less, said that it is finally 'pee-back time,' and they are taking measures to stop individuals from using alleyways or doors as a toilet.
