'Little Focker' was caught 'stealing Christmas gifts' from Robert De Niro's New York City residence

On early Monday, a serial thief was caught red-handed going through Robert De Niro's Manhattan apartment, toying with his iPad and stealing items below his Christmas tree.

According to reports, a 30-year-old lady named Shanice Aviles, also called a "known burglar," snuck down a stairway leading to actor Robert De Niro's Manhattan apartment at 2:30 AM and tried to steal from his Christmas tree.

Officers followed the burglar into De Niro's house.


Cops from the NYPD's 19th Precinct Public Safety squad have been tracking Aviles for quite some time and discovered her on De Niro's second floor with the actor's iPad. The actor's daughter was in her bedroom; he was upstairs and had no clue what was happening.

Last Wednesday, Aviles was convicted on charges related to two Queens thefts and freed without bond. She was suspected of taking $1,000 in cash from St. Patrick's Church on October 23 and, robbing a house on October 1, running away with a debit card. She then used $50 from the card at 7-11.



Police arrested Aviles on October 11 for three separate thefts in Manhattan dating to August and seven robberies in the 19th Precinct between November 25 and December 8.

On October 3, Aviles reportedly broke into a residence and stole the house owner's purse, a ring, $200 in cash, and other valuables. On August 19, she was also accused of taking coupons worth $2,000 from an East 70th Street community center.
