Filming

The production of Lioness Season 2 is currently underway in Texas. The show continues to feature Zoe Saldaña in a starring role, who also serves as an executive producer. Alongside Saldaña, the series stars Laysla De Oliveira, Genesis Rodriguez and Michael Kelly. Additionally, Morgan Freeman and Nicole Kidman, who is also an executive producer, are part of the main cast.

Plot

In the second season, the CIA's ongoing battle against terrorism becomes more personal as the threat moves closer to home. Key characters Joe (played by Saldaña), Kaitlyn (played by Kidman), and Byron (played by Kelly) recruit a new Lioness operative to infiltrate a previously unknown enemy. The intense pressures of the mission force Joe to confront the personal sacrifices she has made in her role as the leader of the Lioness program.

Cast

The series continues to include a robust supporting cast with Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill and Hannah Love Lanier, all returning for the second season.
