Currently under contract with Grêmio, the Uruguayan forward is still actively contributing to his team's pursuit of the Brazilian Serie A title as the season approaches its conclusion.


Suarez is anticipated to showcase his skills for Grêmio in their upcoming match against Corinthians on Sunday. Consequently, he will not be participating in Messi's Noche d’Or celebration on Friday night, allowing fans to enjoy the festivities without missing out on the talented striker's on-field action.

Suarez, 36, is currently playing for Gremio in the Brazilian top division. The Uruguayan international gained worldwide fame for his time in Europe with Ajax (2007-11), Liverpool (2011-14), Barcelona (2014-20) and Atletico Madrid (2020-22).

He returned to his boyhood club, Nacional of Montevideo, in 2022 before moving to Gremio this year. According to reports, Suarez will leave Gremio for Miami when the Brazilian season ends in December.
