Lionel Messi to play for Inter Miami again in this MLS season?
Lionel Messi's first season with Inter Miami was pretty eventful after the MLS club won their first ever trophy. However, the question now arises whether the fans will get to see the Argentine world cup winner one last time in action.

Messi, along with his Inter Miami teammate Facundo Farias, embarked for Buenos Aires on Sunday to link up with the Argentine national team, which is preparing for a pair of forthcoming World Cup qualifier matches. The second of these matches is scheduled against Peru on October 17, just one day before Inter Miami is set to face Charlotte FC at home. Should Messi participate in the Peru match, it will be impossible for him to return in time for the game at DRV PNK Stadium, given the less than 24-hour turnaround.
Inter Miami reportedly will not loan out captain Lionel Messi after the Major League Soccer season ends. The 36-year-old forward has been linked with the Saudi Pro League or a possible return to FC Barcelona.
Spanish journalist Guillem Balague reported that the global superstar isn't going anywhere except on vacation. "Messi will have around one month holiday, like other footballers," Balague said, per the BBC. "So forget any move to Saudi or similar."
Inter Miami have been eliminated from playoff consideration. Their final game is on October 21 against Charlotte.
Messi has one goal and two assists in five MLS regular-season matches (three starts) since joining Miami. In 13 games across all competitions for the club, Messi has 11 goals and eight assists.
