Paris Saint-Germain’s stars were unharmed in their penultimate game before the World Cup, with France forward Kylian Mbappe scoring the opening goal in the unbeaten league leader's 5-0 home triumph against Auxerre on Sunday.

Argentina's Lionel Messi, Brazil's Neymar, and France's Mbappe all started against Auxerre as PSG maintained a five-point advantage over Lens. Messi and Neymar were taken off with approximately 15 minutes remaining, while Mbappe played the entire game after limping off towards the end last weekend due to muscular tiredness. Mbappe will join the defending champions' team on Monday before heading to Qatar on Wednesday.

Due to muscular soreness, PSG rested Brazil defender Marquinhos. Despite the threat of a late injury, PSG's players didn't hold back against Auxerre, scoring just 10 minutes. Messi lofted a brilliant ball over the defence for Portugal defender Nuno Mendes, who was running down the left, and his pass was volleyed in by Mbappe for his 12th goal of the season.
