Who would not wish for a Golden Buzzer? It is like living a dream. And Lily Meola lived her 'Daydream' at the AGT auditions with her heart-warming performance.
Meola was one of the AGT contestants who exhibited their talents to progress in the competition. She fascinated the judges and the audience with her excellent performance. The audition was aired on Tuesday, 28th June 2022.

The singer-songwriter sang an original song, 'Daydreams', and her performance left the audience tear-jerking. She explained how the soft number has evolved over the years. And that it was written when things in her life were excellent, and she could see a bright music career in front with a label deal in hand.

Meola further added that later her life flipped upside down, and her mother was diagnosed with cancer. She became her mother's full-time caretaker and lost the label deal in those difficult times. Although Meola lost her mother to cancer, she is thankful that she could spend some extra time with her mother.

Before her performance, she was asked if she could sing for the audition. Meola chuckled and expressed that she'll try to sing without crying. Her performance rose the audience to their feet, and the AGT judges were seen wiping away their tears. It felt as though everyone present was living her daydream. Meola said she would continue living her dream and making her mother proud.

AGT judges praised Meola for her 'Daydreams' solo staging. Sofia Vergara said that maybe Meola's mother was watching her perform and in a frail voice Simon Cowell added that Meola has an exceptional talent. He wondered if Lily recalled sweet memories while singing. Heidi Klum wiped away her tears and pressed the Golden Buzzer inviting a rejoicing moment for Meola. Meola herself was whimpering with joy, remembering her mom while living her 'Daydream'.
