Lessons in Chemistry is based on the bestseller by Bonnie Garmus of the same name. Set in the 1950s, it shows Brie Larson as Elizabeth Zott, a woman of scientific temper who has to sacrifice her dreams due to patriarchy.
Elizabeth takes on a new career as the host of a cooking show on television. In the process, she takes it upon herself to educate neglected women who are housewives, and even some men.
