LeSean McCoy says a reason exists for Eric Bieniemy not being named a head coach in the NFL despite being mentioned every year during the NFL coaching carousels.

LeSean McCoy hardly has praises to sing for Bieniemy.

Bieniemy, 52, has always been considered to be a leading candidate as the new head coach in the NFL by the media but has failed to secure a job in his many seasons. McCoy, who played for the Chiefs in 2019, attacked Bieniemy on SiriusXM's podcast "I am Athlete Tonight".

According to McCoy, he (Bieniemy) doesn't get a head coaching or objectionable coordinator job elsewhere every year for the same reason. There is a way he speaks to players and some players might take it, but I would not take it There are some questions I'm going to ask. Everyone's accountable. It's not because he's a black coach [that he's not getting hired]. That's not the reasoning.

As stated by the player, the reason is not racism but rather that everyone knows what kind of a coach he actually is.

Spoiler alert- It's not the good kind.

However, due to a time constraint, not much explanation was provided by McCoy on the topic, so viewers will have to wait for more details.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid (who coached the team for years) talked about the remarks made by McCoy, In response to reporters' questions in Thursday's press conference. He said Sometimes it's challenging for a veteran player, maybe their performance level isn't what it used to be — and it's hard to take [objection] occasionally. [Bieniemy's] will push you to maximize what you've got. That's one of his powers.

He's no distinct than he is with you guys. He'll come in and attack you directly. At times you want to listen to it and at times you don't, adds Andy Reid.

During the interview, he made it clear that he has not lost any regard for his ex running back. Reid said I'm a big LeSean fan; in my eyes, he's a forthcoming Hall of Fame running back. If you look at it strategically, he's wonderful. But he wasn't the youngest hound in the class there. He was on the backside [of his career] — and occasionally that's tough to bear.
