Pokémon toys
Under its partnership with Mattel’s Mega Bloks and Mega Construx lines, the brand already has a series of buildable Pokémon toy sets. Mattel, which announced in 2022 to have renewed its license to make Mega building sets, has been behind the Mega Pokémon sets for over 20 years, reports said.According to The Verge, it remains unclear whether Mattel will continue to offer the sets or Lego will be provided exclusive rights to make the Pokémon building sets starting from 2026.
The latest announcement comes after Lego said in January this year that the company will be releasing a buildable version of Nintendo’s Game Boy handheld in October 2025. This was the same console where Pokémon-related games marked their debut in 1996.
