Legendary Brazilian striker Ronaldo keeps his promise of a 280-mile bicycle trip after his club wins promotion to La Liga

The legendary football player said that he would start the 280-mile journey on a bicycle and fulfil the promise. Ronaldo promised that if his club won the promotion, he would set out on the journey to the Camino De Santiago trail.

Former Real Madrid Player and the legendary Striker is about to start an epic bicycle trip covering 280 miles ok his electric bicycle. This bicycle trip will be fulfilling the promise he made over his club Real Valladolid earning promotions to Spain's top-flight league.

In 2018 Ronaldo bought 50% of the Club's share for a £25 million deal. Making him the majority share owner of Valladolid. Later in December, Ronaldo also bought Brazilian giants Cruzeiro. Currently, he is the president of the Spanish club.

After winning the automatic promotion from Segunda, Valladolid has now made their return to La Liga after getting relegated for about a year.


During that time, Ronaldo, along with Almeria, promised that if the club won the promotion this season, then they would go on a 280-mile cycle journey from Valladolid's Stadium to Santiago de Compostela.

What was Ronaldo's reaction?
The legendary player explained that he promised that he would do the Camino de Santiago if his club made it back to La Liga.
Ronaldo explained how he would cover the journey by bike since he could not run.

Ronaldo also said that his wife and he would leave Valladolid on Sunday and bike to Santiago de Compostela.
Ronaldo didn't pull back from accepting that the journey might turn painful, but it will definitely be an unforgettable experience.

Ronaldo will be accompanied by his partner and a team of professionals to aid him in the bicycle trip. He and his wife will travel several dozen miles per day on the famous route to Santiago. Over the years, the route has become a famous shrine in the Galician area of Spain. The course will lead to the famous shrine in the country's Northwestern region, which is also a pilgrimage for thousands who sit on the 'Camino de Santiago' walk.

Who is Ronaldo?
The former Striker has won up to 18 trophies in his glorious career and has faced severe knee injuries.
Ronaldo has won the Ballon d'Or award twice in his career. One in 1997, and then again in 2002.

He started his playing journey with Cruzeiro and had equally devastating spells at PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and AC Milan.

Ronaldo said he knew he would have to do a lot of work to get back to the first division. But he has made the promise and has done an excellent job, especially around the beginning of the year. They made a lot of changes and have changed a lot of philosophy. It will be interesting to see the former player going on this route on his electric cycle. For years, Ronaldo has inspired many.
