Stating she has faced problems with breastfeeding, country singer, Lauren Alaina, wants to protect her image regarding nursing her newly born child, Beni. She states, "I have experienced the challenges of breastfeeding,” on her social media pages.

During a recent visit to the studio, she tells Taste of Country Nights, "I am breastfeeding, but we've had quite the journey." "Beni had trouble latching. She didn't latch correctly until she was almost a month old because of an extremely bad tongue tie," the "Road Less Travelled" singer and new mother reveals.

Although she acknowledges that nursing has not been easy for her or baby Beni, she says, "we have fought for it and we are doing it now."

According to Alaina, they are also bottle-feeding in order for the mother to "keep her alive" and for the father to assist. Attacking ‘karens’ on the internet was good revenge for Alaina, as, she found them instigators across several social media platforms being a mentor for mom-shaming problems.

An instance of Alaina’s reaction to a ‘karen’s’ comment was, as stated, "At the time, I was giving my child three different meals. In the interview with TOCN, she adds, "I was nursing her, bottle feeding her, and pumping every time I fed her, so that we could have a chance at primarily breastfeeding."

"I have friends who couldn't breast feed and have formula fed their babies from the beginning and they're fine," she adds.
