Kyle Busch stole an exciting win at dirt-covered Bristol Motor Speedway as he overtook the spinning cars of Tyler Reddick and Chase Brisco. Busch's win averted Reddick and Brisco's chance of winning the season's first cup on Sunday night.

Reddick was chasing the first title in his career as he controlled the race by leading 99 laps out of 250. Even the race was in his control from the final restart when only 24 laps remained. Due to lapped traffic, Briscoe was close to him and tried to smash from inside Tyler Reddick.

Eventually, this move backfired when both cars lost control and Busch, who was then in the third position, easily won his first cup win of the season in Bristol Motor Speedway.

This was Busch's ninth win in Bristol as all his fans buoyed him out of excitement. The spectators had to wait for two rain delays as they watched the first race on Easter Sunday, delayed by nearly four hours.

While Tyler Reddick came second, he held himself responsible for not fending off Brisco. Brisco moved from two turns away from the winning position to 22nd place.

Busch shared the glory with the Hall of Famer Richard Petty's NASCAR record by winning in consecutive years at 18. Surprisingly, he was in a different tune at Bristol just six weeks ago when Alex Bowman earned the title at Las Vegas. Irritated Busch was found complaining against Bowman for backing into every win.

Now, when Busch's turn came to inherit the title, he readily accepted the checkered flag.

Busch called the rainy condition 'slimy' as he was running second when the rain slicked the racing track.

Like many other drivers, Busch did not pit, perhaps with the expectation to level up in the running order. When NASCAR halted all activity, this plan helped Busch, who had his car out front.
