Kourtney Kardashian's daughter Penelope heartbroken over mom's engagement to Travis Barker

It wasn't easy for Kourtney Kardashian's daughter Penelope to hear the news about her and Travis Barker's engagement. The Kardashians' Thursday episode shows how Penelope had a reaction that was nothing less than heartbreaking.

Kourtney explained how Barker got down on his knee and proposed and how Kourtney said yes. She then went on to celebrate the engagement with her dearest ones. Once she was done with that, she called her children Reign, 7, Penelope, 9, and Mason, 12, and told them the news.

She shares her children with her ex Scott Disick. Kourtney called Penelope and told her that she got engaged to Barker. She gave a rather heartbreaking surprise to Penelope.


The viewers could not see the phone screen but could make out that Penelope was crying. That is when Kim asked her why she was crying. Kourtney became sad as Penelope abruptly cut the call.

Kourtney stated that Penelope loved Travis but took the news hard. She does not understand what engagement means, and she might think it means taking the mother away from the daughter. She went on to say that it was a considerable change for Penelope, and she probably doesn't know what it means.

Finally, her sisters Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie discussed the matter with Kourtney. Khloe stated that she knows that Scott Disick knows, and he said to her that the Kardashians will now kick him out because he is no more involved with the family.

Disick asked why his children were not there at the engagement, but it was later revealed that Kris Jenner decided not to tell the children because then Disick would know where the proposal would be, and they wanted to hide it from him.

Khloe went on to say that Penelope probably thinks that she has to choose between Scott Disick and Travis. That has to be the reason for her reaction. She knows she's not losing her mom, but her dad will be gone.
