Ever since the second part of the Korean adaptation of "Money Heist: Joint Economic Area" was released on Netflix on December 9, the response hasn’t been particularly impressive and satisfying. The Part 2 performed abysmally with just 12.8 million viewing hours until December 12, 2022.

Though Part 1 of Season 1 received 97 million viewing hours in the first 3 weeks of its release, it’s still way less compared to the original Spanish series. This has forced many to believe that the Season 2 of the Korean Series is unlikely to happen as the number of viewing hours is not sufficient for the renewal of Season 2.

The Korean series is a regional adaptation of the much-celebrated Spanish television drama ‘La Casa De Papel’. Netflix had roped in South Korea for creating a regional version of the popular Spanish series as billions of users have been consuming Korean content ranging from Pop to Dramas in the last decade.
