To examine the purported mood-enhancing properties of kiwi fruit, researchers conducted a dietary experiment involving 155 adults with low levels of vitamin C.

Over the course of eight weeks, individuals were assigned to one of three groups: a placebo group, a group receiving a 250 mg vitamin C supplement, or a group consuming two kiwis daily. They were then instructed to assess their vitality, mood, sleep quality, and physical activity each day.
