Singer, song-writer Kanye West, now known as Ye, has agreed to pay $200,000 to his ex-wife Kim Kardashian for child support. The attorneys for both parties managed to reach the settlement and averted a court trial which was scheduled to begin next week. Media reports also suggest that the ex-couple will not take financial support from each other.

Kim and Ye ended their marriage of eight years earlier this year. They have four kids - North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, and the parents will share their custody. Kim and Ye will also split their children's private security and private education expenses, including future college expenses.

According to the settlement documents filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, Kim and Ye will pay their respective debts in their individual capacities. The two married in 2014 and were considered the most powerful couple in the entertainment industry before they split last year. The court declared Kim and Ye legally single in March.


Kim spoke about her divorce earlier this year when she said that it happened because she decided to make herself happy instead of others. She said she wanted to be honest with herself about what made her happy, and she chose herself over others. Following her separation from Ye, she started dating Pete Davidson in November 2021, which also ended in August 2022.

On the other hand, Ye has continuously been at the center of controversies. After their separation, Ye hit the headlines for his objectionable comments about his ex-wife and her boyfriend. However, his spree of controversies went off the charts when he started to wear “White Lives Matters” clothes, criticize the Black Lives Matters movement, and make objectionable comments about Jewish people, accusing them of controlling the media.
