On Thursday, May 25, The Sun US edition reported that Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson’s son has been named ‘Tatum Robert Thompson’. The couple’s first child is five-year-old daughter True Thompson.


Khloé Kardashian is yet to confirm the name Tatum, say some reports, but ABC News has reported that during a confessional interview with a producer, the star revealed her son's name to be ‘Tatum’. She had said on The Kardashians, “Naming a human is really hard”.

Why did Khloé Kardashian name her son Tatum Robert Thompson?

The baby boy’s middle name - Robert - is a tribute to Khloé’s late father Robert Kardashian. Robert is also her brother’s name. It is not clear why the name Tatum was chosen for the boy; probably to match the ‘T’ with his sister True. While Thompson is the family name of Tristan.

Khloé Kardashian feels less connected to Tatum

Khloé Kardashian confessed she feels “less connected” to Tatum because he was born via surrogacy. She feels it was a “transactional surrogacy” experience, and wishes someone had told her more about how surrogacy works.

"It's a mindf--k. It's really the weirdest thing," she said. "I definitely buried my head in the sand during that pregnancy and that I didn't digest what was happening.”

She said that only when she went to the hospital, did it really register. "You're just like, 'OK, we're having a baby, and this is my son and I'm taking him home with me," she said.

Khloé said that she was "in a state of shock” from her surrogacy experience. "I felt really guilty that this woman just had my baby and I take the baby and I go in another room, and we are sort of separated. I felt that it was such a transactional experience because it's not about him," she confessed.

Khloé wished “someone was honest about surrogacy and the difference of it” with her. “It doesn't mean it's bad or good. It's still great. It's just very different," she said.
