Kevin Hart to Host Manningcast-Style NBA In-Season Tournament Broadcast

Kevin Hart is following in the footsteps of Peyton and Eli Manning as he will be hosting the NBA’s new in-season tournament.

The comedian cum actor will host an alternate broadcast for the NBA's new in-season tournament in the Manningcast style. NBA Unplugged with Kevin Hart, produced by Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions and Kevin Hart's Hartbeat, will premiere on ESPN2 on December 9th.

Much like the Manningcast for the NFL, Hart will host alongside the Plastic Cup Boyz: Joey Wells, Will Horton, and Na'im Lynn, with special guest appearances from athletes and celebrities.


Following the broadcast of the In-Season Tournament Championship Game, seven episodes will air on ESPN platforms throughout the season, including New York Knicks vs. Philadelphia 76ers in January and Dallas Mavericks vs. Miami Heat in April.

Kevin Hart is a comedian and actor from the United States and is a very well known public figure. Hart's first break came after winning several stand-up comedy competitions, when Judd Apatow cast him in a recurring role on the TV show Undeclared.

Hart has also hosted a number of ceremonies including the BET Awards in 2011. Following that, Hart hosted the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.

The comedian attended Philadelphia's George Washington High School and in 2022 Sports Center re-aired a segment in which he narrates his own highlights from a 1996 game.

Hart has previously appeared on the Manningcast, where the brothers mocked him for his height, prompting Hart to retort that the Mannings actually despise each other.

Hartbeat is the producer of Cold As Balls and an Olympics Highlights show starring Snoop Dogg. Omaha is a supporter of documentaries such as Quarterback and Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli (the official title of Manningcast).

The NBA In-Season Tournament, which started in early November, is a cup-style competition in which 30 teams compete. The semifinals and championship game will be played in Las Vegas.
