Texas, known as Beyonce's home state, might have something to do with the event's cancellation. However, Gates cited family issues as the reason for cancelling the event.
The controversial lyrics of 'Super General' were discussed in an audio interview broadcasted on Bootleg Kev's podcast. When Gates was asked about the controversy surrounding the Beyonce line of the lyrics, He doubled down on what he said.
In the interview, Gates said that nobody had said anything to him. He called Beyonce one of the most beautiful women and said he sat among monsters who said the same thing. He also added that he spoke on the public's behalf and what others were already thinking. He also added that since Beyonce is the most beautiful woman in the world, he would drink her urine.
On the other hand, Beyonce did not comment on Kevin Gates' request. She, however, shocked her fans when she announced her latest comeback album. The next day, she released her surprise single called 'Break My Soul' the next day. The song is a part of her next album, which will be released soon.
Kevin Gates, in the meanwhile, posted on Instagram, informing his followers that he would not be making appearances at the scheduled Texas cities. In his post, he mentioned that his events in Dallas and Houston were cancelled due to unexpected reasons, but he would meet his friends in New Orleans.
Gates has also mentioned that the deluxe edition of his Khaza album would soon be released. This is expected to please his friends who might not get to meet him in Texas.
