Less than four months into his position as CEO, Ozan Dokmecioglu agreed to resign, according to a statement released by Keurig Dr Pepper on Thursday.

The world's largest beverage firm claimed the infractions had nothing to do with the business' strategy, management, or financial reporting. The board of Keurig Dr Pepper once again named Bob Gamgort as CEO and Chairman.

On the strength of the announcement, firm shares increased 2% in morning trading. The market value of Keurig Dr Pepper's stock rose by 3% this year to $54.4 billion. On July 29, Bob Gamgort handed over the reins to Dokmecioglu as part of a previously mentioned succession plan. The business stated that it considered both internal and external applicants for the position when the change was revealed in April.

Ozan Dokmecioglu was the company's chief financial officer prior to taking on the role of CEO, assisting Keurig Green Mountain with both its 2016 private sale and its 2018 merger with Dr Pepper Snapple. Dokmecioglu, 50, resigned from the board of directors of Krispy Kreme in September. The doughnut chain congratulated Dokmecioglu for his service and efforts and stated in a regulatory filing that the change was not brought on by a dispute with the business or the board.
