Kelsey Mitchell powers Fever past Dream despite Jordin Canada’s career-high 30

Kelsey Mitchell poured in a team-high 25 points as the Indiana Fever stormed back in the second half to defeat the visiting Atlanta Dream 99–82 on Friday night in Indianapolis.

The Fever (10–10) outscored Atlanta by 22 after halftime, using a dominant fourth quarter to pull away. Aliyah Boston added 19 points, eight assists, and six rebounds before fouling out, while Sophie Cunningham provided a spark off the bench with 16 points and 10 boards. Caitlin Clark contributed 12 points and nine assists in the win.



Despite the loss, Atlanta (12–8) saw a career-best performance from Jordin Canada, who erupted for a career-high 30 points and eight assists. Rhyne Howard chipped in 14 despite briefly exiting with a knee injury in the second quarter, and Brittney Griner added 10 points and eight rebounds.


The Dream opened the game with a 10–0 burst and led 45–40 at halftime behind Canada’s explosive 26-point first half, which included six 3-pointers. But Indiana flipped the script in the third, scoring 29 points and grabbing momentum behind Mitchell’s aggressive play.


The Fever sealed the win with a 30–17 fourth quarter, leading by as many as 20 in the final minute. After struggling offensively in their previous outing, Indiana shot 46.1% from the field and went 11-of-30 from deep, while Atlanta finished at 44.8% and 11-of-29 from beyond the arc.

Brionna Jones, averaging 14 points per game for Atlanta, was limited to six in 24 minutes before fouling out.
