When Australian singer-songwriter Morgan Evans and American singer Kelsea Ballerini tied the knot in December 2017, it was a heartwarming love story that prospered into a marriage. However, after spending almost five years together, the couple has decided to call it quits.

Kelsea Ballerini was the first to break the news on Instagram, confirming the rumors of the two parting ways. She wrote in the post that she tried to share her life with her fans as much as possible and hence wanted them to get the news of the split from her. Kelsea added that the decision was difficult for her and was the ultimate end of the journey of love, growth, and effort.

Kelsea, 28, further implied that she was grateful for the years spent with Morgan Evans and hopeful for the future.

She also urged her fans to consider that both she and Morgan were fragile and healing amid active schedules. Morgan Evans, 37, also confirmed the news after Kelsea’s post. He said that it felt sad to confirm that their marriage of five years was finally coming to an end. Morgan further said that he wished that it was otherwise, but sadly it wasn’t.

Kelsea and Morgan got engaged in December 2016, when the Australian-born singer went on his knee and proposed to the Hole in the Bottle artist in their kitchen while she was making pancakes. She had called loving Morgan the greatest gift in her life.
