Veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen is headed back to the Los Angeles Chargers after a one-year stint with the Chicago Bears. The Chargers announced his return Tuesday evening, with NFL Network reporting that Allen has agreed to a one-year, $8.52 million contract.

Allen, 33, spent the first 11 seasons of his NFL career with the Chargers from 2013 to 2023, including the franchise’s final years in San Diego before relocating to Los Angeles. During that time, he became one of the most productive receivers in team history, earning six Pro Bowl selections.

He ranks second in franchise history in both receptions (904) and receiving yards (10,530), trailing only Hall of Fame tight end Antonio Gates. Allen’s 59 touchdown catches also place him third all-time for the Chargers, behind Gates (116) and Lance Alworth (81).

Among active NFL players, Allen sits third in receptions (974), sixth in receiving yards (11,274), and eighth in touchdown catches (66). He has surpassed 100 receptions in a season five times, including a Chargers-record 108 in 2023. Over his career, Allen has appeared in 154 games.

While playing for the Bears in 2024, Allen logged 70 catches for 744 yards and seven touchdowns, serving as a steady veteran presence.
