Kayaker attacked by tiger shark off the coast of Hawaii, dreadful encounter captured on video; Watch

Kayaker Scott Haraguchi had an unexpected encounter with a giant tiger shark which suddenly exploded out of the water and jumped on the boat. In the dreadful video, the entire incident has been captured in which the kayaker can be heard screaming.

Haraguchi was using a GoPro to film his experience off the coast of Hawaii. However, during that time the shark launched itself onto the kayak before attacking Haraguchi. In the video, which he posted on his YouTube channel, the shark can be seen opening its jaws while crashing onto the boat and Haraguchi can be heard screaming.

Narrating his experience in the description of the video posted on Monday, Haraguchi explained that the groundbreaking experience took place at noon on May 12 on windward side of Oahu. He said that he heard a “whooshing” sound and he saw a “wide brown thing on the side of the kayak. He further explained that he assumed it was a turtle.


He continued, “Didn't realize I took my left foot out of the water to brace myself from impact and actually pushed the shark's head off with it. If you asked me to do that again, even without the shark, I don't think I'd have that flexiblity. I actually only thought the shark rammed the kayak until I saw the video at home.”

Fortunately, Haraguchi escaped unharmed as he kicked the shark away from the boat.
