Kate Micucci of "Big Bang Theory" discloses her diagnosis of lung cancer

In a new video that she posted on TikTok on December 12, 2023, Kate Micucci disclosed that she had received a lung cancer diagnosis. The actress from Big Bang Theory added that after her operation, everything went "well" as the medical professionals "caught it early." Joking that it was a "SickTok," she was filming the video while seated on a hospital bed.

She also said that she never smoked a cigarette in her life yet she was diagnosed with lung cancer. Also, she was very grateful to the doctors who caught it in the early stages. The coming few days will be difficult for me but I will come out stronger.

On December 12, 2023, Kate made her diagnosis of lung cancer public in a TikTok video. In response to a fan's question about symptoms, she disclosed that her blood test showed an abnormally high level, which prompted her physicians to perform a scan that helped them identify the spot on her lungs.


She also said that doctors found high CPR levels in her body and after a few scans lung cancer was diagnosed.

Kate did not disclose the exact date of her lung cancer diagnosis, but given that she was still recovering from surgery, it was probably around the time she recorded her December 2023 video.

In her December 2023 video, Kate stated that her operation went well and that the doctors were able to remove the cancer. She acknowledged that she would "probably be moving slowly" in the days after her operation, but she also maintained that everything was "good" and the doctors had discovered the cancer early.
