After a gap of nearly two years, the co-ed music band KARD has made a sensational comeback. The band has launched its fifth mini-album, ‘Re:,’ featuring in a music video titled ‘Ring The Alarm.’ KARD’s comeback follows a teaser they shared on May 27, titled ‘RE: MEMBER.’ On June 3, the band also dropped an emotional video titled ‘WE’ RE: BACK | KARD,’ confirming their return to the music world.

Based out of Seoul, South Korea, KARD is a co-ed music group established by the renowned entertainment talent agency DSP Media. The group consists of J.Seph, Matthew King, aka BM, Jeon So-min, aka Somin, and Jeon Jiwoo. KARD made its debut on July 19, 2017, with its first mini album, ‘Hola Hola.’ Their last album, ‘Way with Words,’ was released on August 26, 2020. Following the release, J.Seph enlisted in the army to complete his mandatory service for his country and returned on April 2022.

The music video for ‘Ring the Alarm’ was released on Wednesday, June 22. The video appears to be quite colorful and represents different concepts in harmony. KARD had said before the release that ‘Ring the Alarm’ would be a dance song, reminiscent of the music they made during their debut. The song has a rhythmical bass sound, setting the moombahton genre on fire. The ‘Re:’ mini album consists of four songs and two instrumental pieces.

Prior to its debut in July 2017, KARD released three pre-debut songs – ‘Oh NaNa,’ ‘Don’t Recall,’ and ‘RUMOR.’ KARD is looking for worldwide success and was quick to build an international presence by touring through the Americas before their debut. Their tours amplified following their debut album, becoming one of the most successful co-ed K-pop bands of all time. With J.Seph’s return from the army, the group has reunited to deliver their unique music without any interruptions.
