Kanye West's ex-girlfriend Julia Fox claims she dated him to get him off Kim Kardashian

Italian-American actor Julia Fox recently opened up about her short-lived romance with rapper Kanye West. According to the actor, she dated the musician to "get him off" of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

Her statement comes after she recently became the subject of a discussion on whether or not she ought to be held responsible for dating Kanye while he was interested in another woman.

In response to a comment accusing her of "dating a famously violent misogynist and anti-Semite," the 32-year-old star gave her reason for dating Kanye.


In the video, she said, "The only thing he had done was change the name in the song and said like, ‘Come back to me, Kimberly.’"
"But then I had this thought: I was like, ‘Oh, my God, maybe I can get him off of Kim’s case. Maybe I can distract him, just get him to like me and I knew if anyone can do it, it’s me,’" she added.

Fox started the clip by revealing that she had worked with the Kardashians before she began dating Kanye West and that the rapper was "normal around [her]" initially.

Fox further asserts that she broke up with West "the moment he started tweeting" about his ex after realizing she couldn't convince him. She said, "I wanted to help him."



"I sounded almost as dumb as you guys, saying that I should’ve done something to stop him from saying—like, what? But anyway, I was delusional," she added.

For nearly two months, Fox and West were in a highly public romance that ended in February. However, throughout their relationship, West frequently criticised Kim Kardashian and her then-boyfriend, Pete Davidson, on social media and claimed that she was trying to keep him away from his kids.

Since their break-up, Julia Fox has used her TikTok platform to speak out on feminism-related issues, including aging and the patriarchal gaze.
