Kanye West made ‘Pete Davidson has AIDS’ t-shirts, says ex-Yeezy designer

In a bizarre claim, a former employee of controversial rapper Kanye West has alleged that the musician made t-shirts with derogatory rumours about Pete Davidson, including the allegation that he had AIDS, to taunt the comedian for being romantically linked to his former wife and reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

Davidson started dating Kardashian in November 2021, within a year after she had filed for divorce from the All of the Lights rapper. However, they parted ways a few months later.

Ex-designer makes bombshell claims

In an interview with journalist Louis Pisano, Yeezy's former employee Pierre Louis Auvray has claimed that Kanye West wanted to spread baseless rumours about Pete Davidson through his fashion brand, Page Six reported.


Auvray served as the senior designer at Yeezy from 2019 to 2021.

While at the SoHo House in Texas' Austin city, West went on a tirade against Jewish people and even made controversial comments against the Saturday Night Live alum, Auvray said.

“He was having this rant about Jewish people, black people being the first Jewish people, and telling people that Pete Davidson had AIDS,” Page Six quoted Auvray as saying. He added that it was "sickening.”

Kanye West's weird request

Auvray said that Laurence Chandler, West's general manager, was asked by the rapper to get in touch with him to come up with long-sleeved shirts that have several controversial phrases written over it in white letters.

Among these were phrases like “Pete Davidson has AIDS,” “Pete Davidson destroys families” as well as “Pete Davidson hates Black people”.

Back then, Auvray had to fight with them as he was not ready to go ahead with the idea.

He said that he had a "fight because I didn’t want to do it”.

In their group chat, Auvray was allegedly under “pressure” from several people, which included West’s partner Bianca Censori.

“I was like, ‘No, I’m not doing this’,” he said, while sharing screenshots of the chats.

The photographs clearly show the conversation Auvray had with Chandler along with the images of the proposed shirt design idea.

An insider close to Pete Davidson informed Page Six that the idea of the shirts was “despicable.”

Back in 2022, West was criticised for speaking unfounded rumours like Davidson suffered from the life-threatening disease and was gay.

At that time, people close to the actor shared that the “nonsense” rumours did little damage to Davidson as he was “ignoring" the hate coming from Kanye west "out of respect for Kim.”

He had even poked fun at West's claim in April 2022 while doing a standup show for “Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival at the Hollywood Bowl.”
