The motorcade of US vice president Kamala Harris was reportedly involved in an accident. However, initially, the incident was termed as a 'mechanical failure' of the car.

The accident took place on Monday just after Harris headed to the White House around 10:30 am while the driver of her SUV had a small overcorrection and hit a curb. Harris's Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi confirmed the incident.

The accident's impact was not trivial as the car's tyre needed to be replaced. But, the altercations kept the Vice President's motorcade standstill for some time.

Someone filmed the video from an overlooking high-rise that exhibited armed guards surrounding the vehicles standing at the entrance of an underpass when Harris was being shifted.
