Kaiju No. 8 teaser unveils Kafka Hibino's character designs, series’ release year & more

Kafka Hibino's character is the one to look out for in the much-awaited anime Kaiju No.8 manga, a creation of Naoya Matsumoto. The trailer, which opened to positive reviews, has announced the manga release date as December 15, 2022 and series’ release year will be 2024.

The serialization of manga anime is among Shueisha's most famous creations beginning in 2020. Manga awards knocked on the doors of Kaiju No.8, and the series has 10 million prints in circulation at the moment.

For those not in the know, Kaijus are monsters tasked with killing the general population, while the Japanese Taskforce is charged with killing the Kaijus. Mina Ashiro and Kafka Hibino decide to join the defense force. Mina gets through, while Kaffa flunks the entrance exam many times and therefore joins as part of the cleanup crew. So, Kaiju No. 8 is no one else but Hibino himself, the monster and the target of Oshiro. Hibino becomes superhuman as a kaiju. Kafka joins Mina in stopping the monsters but, at the same time, keeps quiet about his new identity as Kaiju no.8.




Kafka Hibino's human character design is unveiled in the trailer. The opening shot is that of the destroyed city of Tokyo. The plot is Hibino works for Monster Sweeper Inc in their cleaning department. A tiny talking Monster gets into Hibino's mouth and gives Hibino the power to become a monster himself. So, Hibino becomes the protagonist. The job of the cleanup crew is to dispose of the bodies of the kaiju cleanup crew.

Eight tankoban volumes have been written, and 10 million print copies are circulating. The 3 July 2020 is the launch of the series.
