'Squid Games Season 2' and other K-dramas lined up for 2024

After 'Squid Games' Season 1 proved to be a massive success in 2021, the second season of Emmy-winning director Hwang Dong-hyuk’s survival drama will soon arrive on Netflix, reports 'Screenrant'. In February, Netflix released its trailer showing Lee Jung-jae, who plays Seong Gi-hun. He decides to seek vengeance and abandons his plans to go to the US. Besides, Lee Jung-jae, Netflix’s most successful K-drama features Wi Ha-joon, Anupam Tripathi, Heo Sung-tae, Oh Yeong-su, Jung Ho-yeon, Park Hae-soo, and Kim Joo-ryoung. But this is just one of the many K-dramas which are lined up for 2024.

Disney+ and Hulu have highly anticipated titles that may arrive this year, but Netflix will have a significant part of the best K-dramas.

'The Trunk'

Gong Yoo, best known for his roles in 'Squid Game', leads the cast of 'The Trunk'. He plays the character of a man, whose wife arranges his secret marriage. Seo Hyun-jin, known for her roles in 'Another Miss Oh', portrays his wife. The series begins with a trunk that is washed ashore off a lake, people consider it a mysterious object, but it creates humor.

'Everything Will Come True'

'Everything Will Come True' has a very interesting plot in the sense that it explores the potential love story between a woman and a genie. Ga-young, played by Suzy, sets a genie free and she is granted three wishes. But, the genie, portrayed by Kim Woo-bin, has his distinctive personality and he interacts with Ga-young.
