Justin Bieber breaks record as highest-paid Coachella star — passes sell out instantly
Justin Bieber has made history as the highest-paid performer in Coachella history. The Canadian pop star negotiated a $10 million deal for his upcoming performance, beating previous headliners like Lady Gaga and Beyoncé. Bieber will headline on Saturday during both weekends of the 2026 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.

Other headliners include Sabrina Carpenter on Friday and Karol G on Sunday. This year, Justin released two full-length albums, Swag and Swag II, which are his first releases since the 2021 gospel-inspired EP, Freedom. Coachella passes sold out over the weekend, seven months before the festival is set to begin, as reported by The Mirror.

Coachella tickets sold out fast

Tickets for Coachella, running April 10–12 and 17–19, 2026, went on sale Friday, September 19, and sold out completely by Monday, September 22. Festival organizers announced the sell-out on Instagram, captioning the post, "She's gone, dance on. See you in April," set to the song "She's Gone, Dance On" by Disclosure.

Justin Bieber’s record deal

The 31-year-old singer, who sold his music catalog for $200 million in 2023, reportedly negotiated the $10 million payday directly with promoter Goldenvoice without an agent. An insider told Rolling Stone, "It's a groundbreaking move for a headliner, and it's something he built entirely on his own. Between headlining Coachella and the success of Swag, it's clear this is the start of an exciting new era for Justin - one where he's fully in the driver's seat", as per the report by The Mirror.

Justin Bieber’s health and comeback

Bieber’s last full-length album, Justice, 2021, earned critical acclaim and produced hits like Peaches, Holy, Anyone, and Ghost. In February 2023, Justin canceled the remainder of his Justice World Tour after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which can cause facial paralysis. He had previously postponed multiple shows in fall 2022 due to the same illness.

His Coachella performance will be the first full-set show since the Justice World Tour. On Instagram Stories, Justin explained, "Earlier this year, I went public with my battle with Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome, where my face was partially paralyzed. As a result of this illness, I was not able to complete the North American leg of the Justice Tour", as stated in the reports.

He also said, "After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now,' he explained. "So I'm going to take a break from touring for the time being. I'm going to be OK, but I need time to rest and get better", as per the report by The Mirror.
