The movie is produced by Matt Tolmach, Johnson, Kasdan, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia. Tolmach and William Teitler were also behind the first Jumanji movie. Producer Hiram Garcia previously hinted at the film in 2021, stating that production would start after Johnson’s Red One, which is set for a November 2024 release.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle grossed over $960 million worldwide in 2017, marking it as one of the year’s highest-grossing films. Its 2019 sequel, Jumanji: The Next Level, also performed well, earning over $800 million worldwide.
