Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers dealt the Pittsburgh Steelers a second straight loss in NFL on Sunday, spoiling Aaron Rodgers’ much-anticipated first meeting against his former team. Love, who spent three seasons studying behind Rodgers in Green Bay after being drafted in 2020, displayed maturity and sharp decision-making in a 35-25 win at Acrisure Stadium.

The 26-year-old quarterback threw three touchdowns and racked up 360 yards, completing 29 of 37 passes to decisively outduel the 41-year-old Rodgers, who has enjoyed a resurgence this season since joining Pittsburgh following two frustrating years with the New York Jets.

Speaking after the game, Love acknowledged the emotional buildup surrounding the matchup, calling the victory 'special' and praising his team’s focus. At one point, he completed 20 straight passes, becoming the first Packers quarterback to accomplish the streak since Brett Favre in 2007.

Rodgers finished with 219 passing yards and two touchdowns, including a short scoring throw to DK Metcalf that helped Pittsburgh take a 16-7 lead into halftime. However, Green Bay’s aggressive defense, powered by Micah Parsons, consistently pressured him and disrupted the Steelers’ rhythm.

After the break, Love seized control, leading three consecutive touchdown drives to flip the scoreboard and push Green Bay ahead 29-19 by the fourth quarter.

Two late Packers field goals widened the margin and put the game out of reach, leaving Pittsburgh unable to mount a comeback. The result extended the Steelers’ skid and underscored Love’s emergence as a commanding presence under center for Green Bay.
